When can we visit?
School trips are available throughout the year; please check the Plan Your Trip page to find out which days you can visit.
How do I make a reservation?
To make a reservation you can fill in our provisional booking form located on our schools page here
You will receive a provisional booking confirmation with the details of your order. Please confirm your visit at least 20 days prior to your visit using the link in your confirmation email.
An invoice will be raised once the visit is confirmed.
If you know your visit date and estimated final numbers already, you can make a booking reservation here

I’ve got a reservation – how do I pay?
Once you have confirmed your booking an invoice will be raised and a payment link sent to you.
How do I change my reservation?

Do you offer free teacher pre-visit tickets?
We offer two complimentary tickets for teachers to carry out a pre-visit. This is available to schools who have booked a visit with us and must be pre-booked prior to attending.

DURING YOUR VISIT
What happens when your school arrives at SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham?
A member of the Education Team will meet your group at the main entrance at your allocated entry time, register your school, confirm numbers, and go through your itinerary for the day.
Please arrive close to your booked time, as early entry isn’t available and there is no indoor waiting area. If you arrive late, you may need to wait while groups with scheduled times enter first.
How does the tour work?
Your group will explore the aquarium at your own pace on a self-guided tour, we ask school groups to stagger multiple class entry, where possible, into smaller groups of no more than 20 moving through a series of themed zones around the attraction. Your pupils will discover highlights along the way, such as the Penguin Ice Adventure, colourful reef habitats, and the interactive Rockpool where they can learn about creatures like starfish and anemones and even 65 million year old fossils.
One of the unique highlights is the 360° Ocean Tunnel, where sharks, rays and a giant green sea turtle swim over your pupils’ heads as they walk through the experience.
Can I book an educational workshop?
You can add an educational workshop to your school visit when making your booking or this can be added, at any time prior to confirming your booking (subject to availability).
Workshops need to be booked in advance as part of your school booking .

Can I pre-book lunch spaces?
Lunch spaces will be allocated at the time of booking and will be included on your trip itinerary.

My school is SEND or has SEND students – how can you help?
We want every school group to have an enjoyable visit. A range of accessibility support is available across the attraction to help guests with additional needs. You can find more information here.

Once your trip is confirmed you will receive an invoice and payment link. Please pay using your selected payment method at least ten days prior to the date of your school trip
