Counting Fish

We're accredited by BIAZA

We at SEA LIFE London Aquarium care deeply for all our creatures, from our large Grey Nurse Sharks, to our cheeky Gentoo Penguins. So, when we are talking about welfare, we refer to the different feelings and sensations each animal under our care experiences, ranging from positive to negative, given the conditions in which it lives in.

We are accredited by the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA). This means you can be rest assured that our aquarium has been assessed by a reputable, independent regional association. To achieve BIAZA accreditation a thorough assessment is conducted by an expert team to ensure organisations are striving and achieving best practice animal welfare, conservation, sustainability, safety, and biosecurity.
