Boy & girl scout activity ideas

Scouts can earn merit badges and more with a SEA LIFE Scout Program! Various programs are offered that center around science, environmental issues or conservation.

 

Groups receive 1 free chaperone with every 7 scouts booked! Minimum of 7 scouts required to make reservation. Groups receive 1 free chaperone with every 7 scouts booked! Maximum of 15 guests including adult chaperones.

Merit Badge Programs

 

Cost: $25/scout

Program length: 4 hours

 

Oceanography

Plunge into the world of oceanography by exploring its many different facets and discovering the amazing and rarely seen landscape under the sea. Get ready to learn about the animals that call the ocean home and to classify those animals by the regions of the ocean that they live in. To wrap up the program, we will go behind-the-scenes to learn about the careers here at the Aquarium and see what it takes to care for thousands of animals!

Come to Sea Life to fulfill requirements for the “It’s Your Planet – Love it” Journey!

 

Daisies “Between Earth and Sky” $20 per Girl Scout

Come to SEA LIFE Minnesota and fulfill sessions 7-9 in earning your Clover Award! Brainstorm about natural environments, use your senses to explore shapes and textures, explore the science of fish scales and learn about Minnesota’s natural treasures such as the Lady Slipper, American Paddle Fish and Lake Sturgeon!

 

Brownies “Wonders of Water” $20 per Girl Scout

Come to SEA LIFE Minnesota and fulfill sessions 1-3 in earning your Love Water Award! Use charades to communicate what you love about water, harness the power of water to create your very own rainbow, examine the water cycle, learn about Minnesota’s wetlands and investigate the importance of clean water!

 

Juniors “Get Moving” $22 per Girl Scout

Come to SEA LIFE Minnesota and fulfill sessions 3-5 in earning the Investigate Award! Investigate the different ways that animals use energy, investigate how much energy it takes to keep thousands of creatures alive here at SEA LIFE Minnesota, learn about energy audits and investigate Minnesota’s buildings and infrastructures that use energy!

  • Minimum requirement of at least 7 scouts required. Chaperones may be limited due to classroom size. Maximum of 15 participants during program including adult chaperones.  
  • Pricing includes general admission for each scout. General admission is valid the entire day of the groups visit.
  • Scout Programs must be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance. Final number attending the visit and payment in full due 2 weeks prior to visit date. Once paid for, scout programs are non-refundable.
  • Discounted pricing not available at the door. All reservations must be made in advance.
