Ocean Questions Answered
Our SEA LIFE team has answered some of your World Oceans Day questions below. Check back during the campaign as we add more.
World Oceans Day is a global celebration of the ocean and raises awareness of why it needs our protection. The ocean helps support life on Earth, provides homes for incredible animals and connects communities around the world.
Rubbish can travel through stormwater drains, creeks and rivers before reaching the ocean. Once there, it can harm marine animals through entanglement or by being mistaken for food. That is why keeping local streets, parks and waterways clean is part of protecting the ocean.
