The SEA LIFE Annual Pass is subject to some restrictions on our busiest days, on these dates you are able to purchase entry to the attraction at a 50% discount or upgrade to a Merlin Annual Pass to visit.

Huge collection of sea life. It is a must see place in Sydney. Best way to visit with a Merlin annual pass - small queue & you will get 20% discounts on food & beverage. With this discount it is way cheaper than any other place outside if you are visiting in a large group.
Annual Pass Restrictions
We no longer sell Gold Merlin Annual Passes but any current Gold passes purchased before March 9 2026 are still valid and still subject to restrictions.
Gold Merlin Annual Passes are not valid on the dates below in accordance with local school holiday periods, in addition to any public holidays across Australia and New Zealand.

The SEA LIFE Annual Pass is subject to some restrictions on our busiest days, on these dates you are able to purchase entry to the attraction at a 50% discount or upgrade to a Merlin Annual Pass to visit.

- 25 Dec 2026 - 3 Jan 2027
All other Annual Passes are eligible for standard entry into our Attractions every day - please prebook during our peak periods to avoid disappointment.
Annual Pass FAQs
All current annual passes remain valid until their expiry date, you may renew your pass to either of our new passes, the SEA LIFE Annual Pass or the Merlin Annual Pass and take advantage of the discounted renewal price.
The renewal discount is available to you up to 8 weeks after expiry of your current pass.
To upgrade to the Merlin Annual Pass you will need to renew your pass as a Merlin Annual Pass, you can do this at any time up till 8 weeks after your current pass expires. If you do this prior to your expiry you will not lose any days on your current expiry and these will be added on to your new pass.
We no longer sell Gold or Platinum Merlin Annual Passes, instead your gift voucher is now valid to redeem a Merlin Annual Pass - this is a fully unrestricted pass allowing access to the same attractions as a Gold or Platinum pass previously allowed!
Our SEA LIFE Sydney Annual Pass gives you access to SEA LIFE Sydney only. To visit another SEA LIFE across Australia or New Zealand, you'll need to purchase a ticket via the website or upgrade to a Merlin Annual Pass, which gives you access to all other Merlin attractions across Australia and New Zealand.
Pre-booking is essential to guarantee entry during school holidays and public holidays and we reserve the right to refuse entry if capacity is hit.
Outside of school holidays it is still recommended to pre-book a timeslot to avoid disappointment.
Your Merlin Annual Pass is digital and there is no physical card required to be collected. All you need to do is show the barcode on your phone at the attraction entrance for our staff to scan and ensure that you pre-book your entry time

* All Annual Passes are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase (exclusions dates apply for Gold Merlin Annual Pass and SEA LIFE Sydney Annual Passes). All Annual Pass Gift Vouchers are valid for redemption within 3 years, once redeemed the pass is valid for 365 days. Once purchased, you will receive a digital Merlin Annual Pass on your email. Please save the barcode for each member on your mobile, our staff will scan and match the photo at the attraction entrance.
