Kelly Tarlton's supports Plunket

  • Wednesday 28th September 2016

To celebrate the season of new life these school holidays, Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE Aquarium has partnered with a local knitting group to create a selection of cute sea-animal beanies and booties for Plunket babies.

The knitting group is part of a New Zealand charity, Kiwi Family Trust, who were more than happy to lend a helping hand. From sharks to clownfish, the eclectic mix of knitwear will fit babies aged six months to one year of age.

An Auckland Plunket group visited Kelly Tarlton's one morning to receive some of the precious knitwear and meet the knitters who made them. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the knitters, there were a lot more wonderful items which for Plunket to share in the community.

The fun initiative aligns with the spring school holidays, where Kelly Tarlton's is celebrating the season of baby animals.

"There are a lot of animals preparing for breeding, the Gentoo penguins are laying eggs as we speak. It was only fitting we celebrate life above the ocean and partner with Plunket to celebrate all babies" says Claire Wheeler, Kelly Tarlton's Marketing Manager.

Help us support Plunket by bidding for some incredible handmade creations!

All the money raised from the Trade Me auction is being donated to Plunket.
