Come down to SEA LIFE and The Wharf Mooloolaba on the 10.06.2023 for a day of family fun. 

Mooloolaba’s the place to be this month as it hosts the inaugural Mooloolaba Whale Welcoming Weekend on June 10 to launch the 2023 whale watching season.

The Whale Welcoming festivities begin with Ocean Odyssey, a blend of art and a degustation dinner at The Dock on Friday 9 June.

The fun continues at The Wharf on Saturday 10 June with the bell tolling to announce the start of whale season, an onsite broadcast with Hot 91 FM from 10am to 1pm, Whale Tail paddle formation by the Mooloolaba Surf Lifesaving Club Paddlers, fun prizes and giveaways, specially-brewed Blackflag Whale Pale Ale for sale plus free entry for kids at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast.

With more than 22,000 humpbacks passing the Sunshine Coast during their migration north from June, there’s a chance you’ll see them making a splash off the coast while you’re at the beach or sipping a latte along the Esplanade.

For those wanting a closer look, try a whale watching tour with Whale One, Elite Sailing, Adventure Rafting or Sunshine Coast Afloat, or swim with the whales with Sunreef.

So head to Mooloolaba where you’re well placed with a front row seat to the Humpback Highway.
