The Wharf Mooloolaba: The tourism, retail, and dining hub of the Sunshine Coast

The Wharf Mooloolaba embodies all that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Comprising of a variety of boutique retail stores, food and drink, entertainment and adventure activities, there's something for everyone.

The Wharf Mooloolaba was built in 1988 with further stages completed in the early 90’s. The development was inspired by similar Wharf side developments such as the Santa Monica Pier and Freemantle Jetty.

Today the Wharf still holds the charm of its origins and a refurbishment is well underway to reinvigorate and transform the precinct, it is once again the place to meet, eat and play.

Nestled between one of Queensland’s finest patrolled surf beaches and the stunning Mooloolah River, the Wharf provides a true Queensland, beachside town experience. The Mooloolaba Port is a hub of the ever expanding Sunshine Coast region which is now home to 330,000 people. With forecast growth over the next 20 years to 520,000, the Sunshine Coast is one of the fastest growing regions in the country.

The Wharf precinct plays a big role in the area offering attractions such as SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast, scuba diving, cruises, whale watching and fishing charters for locals and visitors to the region, as well as some great dining and entertainment options. If you are feeling a little more adventurous you can hire jet skis, paddle boards, fishing boats or kayaks and explore the waterways for yourself.
