It's a Merry Fishmas

  • Thursday 20th December 2018

This morning, we received an early Christmas visit, with Scuba Santa, Scuba Elf and Mrs. Clause diving deep to experience the all new Day and Night on the Reef oceanarium!

With Christmas only five days away, the festive divers were monitoring the animals to see who has been naughty and nice! Crowd-favourite Myrtle the Turtle must have been on the nice list, as she was spotted swimming up nice and close to Mrs. Clause for a lettuce feed.

Day and Night on the Reef is now home to hundreds of beautiful sea creatures, including Myrtle the rescue turtle and her fellow turtle friends Dave and Choung. Guests will also get to see the critically endangered sawfish, Maori Wrasse and schools of tropical fish.

As one of the seven wonders of the natural world, the Great Barrier Reef is on the bucket list for many Australians and international guests, so Day and Night on the Reef has been designed to convey several distinct ‘time zones’ which reflect various moments in time that are experienced on the reef during the day and night.

Sea Life Sydney Aquarium is open daily, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day from 9:30am, giving guests a glimpse of the underwater world right in the heart of the CBD.

Merry Fishmas Friends!
