  • Things To Do

As we leap into summer, our visitors to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium are constantly asking our dedicated team about the best snorkelling spots around the Sydney coastline so we thought we would put together a highlights list to showcase the best underwater fun Sydney has to offer!

  • Bare Island:

Used as the set for the finale of Mission Impossible II, this old-fortress-slash-island is one of the most exciting spots in Sydney, perfect for both beginners and the more advanced snorkelers. Expect to see sand rays, colourful sponge life - and maybe even the resident turtle!

  • Clovelly Beach:

Described as one of the safest snorkel spots in the city, this family-friendly location has easy entry and exit from the concrete steps near the Surf Club and offers snorkelers the chance to see the famous Blue Grouper, octopi, moray eels and tonnes of schooling fish.

  • Shelley Beach:

Sydney's best kept snorkelling secret lies to the north of the harbour in Manly's Shelley Beach. Boasting a gorgeous location, family-friendly beach and a protected haven for marine life, the crystal-clear waters of Shelley Beach will not remain a secret for much longer.
