Pig-Nosed Turtle (Carettochelys insculpta)
No other turtle in the world looks like the endangered Pig-nosed turtle thanks to its pig-shaped nose!

Little Penguin (Eudyptula minor)
Little penguins are the smallest penguin species and grow to approx. 30cm tall.

White’s Seahorse (Hippocampus whitei)
The White’s Seahorse is now endangered in NSW and is Australia’s only threatened seahorse species.

Southern Pygmy Perch (Nannoperca australis)
Southern Pygmy Perch are listed as Endangered in NSW.

Short-beaked Echidna (Tachyglossus aculeatus)
The Short-beaked Echidna is an egg-laying mammal, also called a monotreme.

Bare-nosed Wombat (Vombatus ursinus)
Bare-nosed Wombats are mainly nocturnal animals.

Southern Cassowary (Casuarius casuarius)
Southern Cassowary are endangered. There are less than 4,600 left in the wild.

King Island Kangaroo (Macropus fuliginosus)
Kangaroo tails are so powerful, they can hold their entire body weight while they kick.

Shingleback Lizard (Tiliqua rugosa)
Shingleback lizards are closely related to other blue-tongued lizards.

Freshwater Crocodile (Crocodylus johnstoni)
Found in northern Australia in rivers, lagoons and billabongs.

Platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus)
Platypus are eye-laying mammals, also known as monotremes.

Eastern Quoll (Dasyurus viverrinus)
Eastern Quolls are medium-sized, bushy-tailed nocturnal marsupials with dark fur and white spots.
