The Great Shark Debate - to cull or not to cull?

Join us for a community information session to find out what shark nets and drumlines are, what they are supposed to do, the toll they take on our marine life, and whether we even need them.

We'll be joined by a panel of experts to talk you through the various aspects of the programs. Panellists include: the ecologist Prof Dave Booth (UTS), the policy researcher Chris Neff (USyd), the shark bite victim Lisa Mondy, the lobbyist Alexia Wellbelove (Humane Society International) and a regular ocean user to unpack the shark management programs that are deployed in New South Wales, Queensland and now Western Australia.

Presentations will be followed by a Q & A session with the audience.

If you're keen to find out what happens to innocent marine life in the name of your public safety, please come along.

Date: Tuesday 8th April 2014

Time: 6.30pm - 8pm

Where: SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

Cost: By donation.
