Self-Guided School Excursion Tour Information
What's included?
- Two-hour self-guided visit. Please note the Aquarium will also be open to the general public and as such there is no access to the building before or after the two-hour session.
- Students are required to be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.
- Students will be required to carry their personal belongings for the duration of their visit as there is no storage available for Self-Guided groups.
- There is nowhere for students to eat on-site during their session. Most groups eat along the wharf or at nearby parks instead.
- All students can access the retail store in small, supervised groups. Please note, we are a card-only facility.
TOUR TOPICS
Explore the vital connection between marine life and human impact. In this self-guided tour of the aquarium, your students will dive into marine ecosystems, studying the challenges faced by marine communities and more. SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium undertakes many conservation projects, and your students will learn about the actions we can all take to protect and preserve our natural environments.
In your self-guided tour, highlight the wonder of the aquatic world and allow your students a journey of discovery where problem solving and care for the marine environment are encouraged and fostered. Students will recognise and compare the needs of living creatures including their homes and plants needed to survive.
Your students can explore the different lifecycles of animals in aquatic environments and how they differ from plants.
