This winter, hop, slip and waddle into SEA LIFE where you'll meet our 'flipper-tastic' penguin colony. Our Little Blue Penguins have big personalities, whether they’re gliding underwater or waddling into the spotlight.
A perfect day out for curious minds and wild imaginations. An experience the whole family will enjoy.
It's their birthday!
These school holidays, it’s birthday season at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium, and everyone’s invited to the cutest celebration on the coast as six much-loved little blue penguins mark their special day.
Party with the Penguins with flippin’ fun penguin themed activities, daily keeper talks, and special party enrichment for the birthday birds. Kids can also join an egg-cellent penguin egg hunt for the chance to win a prize.

Meet Our Little Blue Penguins!
Meet the cheeky Little Blue Penguin crew here at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast. Visit us and see them waddle, slide and swim around right in front of you.
Did You Know?
They have a bluish colour unique among all species of penguins. Chicks have a brown and white plumage that turns to the blue colour after their first molt.
Little Penguins live along the southern edge of mainland Australia, as well as Tasmania, New Zealand and the Chatham Islands.
Little blue penguins are mainly nocturnal and unlike larger species, they can dive only to a depth of 230 feet for approximately 35 seconds.
