Earlier this year we ran the WIN YOUR WEDDING Competition to give one lucky couple the chance to win a free wedding at SEA LIFE Melbourne!
We simply couldn't decide - so we have chosen not one, but TWO incredible couples as winners! Beating out over 1000 applicants with their heartwarming stories, we are pleased to announce the winners:
Meet ELISA and JOEL:
Four years ago Elisa’s boyfriend Joel had just returned from an eight-month deployment to Afghanistan in the Australian Army, when he suffered a serious spinal cord injury after an unfortunate accident that left him quadriplegic.
Whilst in San Diego California undertaking a nine-month spinal rehabilitation program last year, Joel had been practising how to get himself on one knee with multiple trainers while she was not around his sessions. He organised a special dinner and got down on one knee to propose that night!

Meet TAY and TAM:
A special duo who founded the cutest animal rescue charity, The Urban Pouch. They are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing indigenous wildlife, mainly possums and birds. Tay and Tam currently have 8 rescue chickens, 2 love birds, a princess parrot and a blue tongue lizard…I wonder if they’ll all be getting invites?!
The couples are now excitedly planning their big day in the Coral Atoll. There won't be a dry eye in the house (especially in the tank), as they celebrate with friends, family and our many creatures.
