Ah, the school holidays; a full week or two (or six) with your precious little cherubs, what could be more perfect? Here’s what, an opportunity for a day off where you can go and relax on the beach, have a quiet lunch, hit the shops - or whatever else takes your fancy! In all seriousness, it is super hard to find school holiday activities at the best of times, never mind ones where you can just leave them for the day and have a break yourself. Well, look no further, because we have exactly that and you can find it just outside of Brisbane.
Become a Marine Biologist for the Day
Here at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast, we host a school holidays Marine Biologist program just for kids that not only allows you to drop your kids off for a full or half day of underwater world fun, it’s also something educational they’ll love! This school holidays activity takes your children behind the scenes at our aquarium where they will hang out with one of our Marine Experts. They’ll get up close encounters, learn what it takes to be a Marine Biologist and keep our aquarium habitats healthy and our creatures happy. Who knows, it may even inspire them to a future career!
What To Expect
Their school holidays adventure will include a guided tour of the aquarium, reserved VIP seating at our famous seal show and a backstage pass to staff only areas to see the inner workings of the aquarium. Your kids can also lend a helping hand with some of our animal feeding presentations - how cool is that?!
All that fun does require a lot of energy, so we make sure to keep our mini Marine Biologists fuelled with morning tea included in the half day program and lunch and afternoon tea on top of that for the full day program.
Make a Night of it at the Coast
You could easily do a round trip from Brisbane to SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast in one day, but why not make a night of it and spread the school holiday fun over 2 days? Enjoy a kid-free first day then hit the beach with the family after you’ve had your own R&R. It’s the perfect school holidays scenario!
