Help us name our new baby sharks..

  • Thursday 16th July 2015

Following the baby boom that hit SEA LIFE Mooloolaba in June with the birth of three female Blacktip sharks and two Blue-spotted stingrays.  We are now looking for your help to name our 3 beautiful blacktip sharks

The six-week-old female sharks, and two baby stingrays born around the same time, are the newest group of protected marine life born at the aquarium.

For the chance to win one of three Shark Dive XTreme or Shark Snorkel experiences and come face-to-fin with the attraction’s adult sharks, visitors are invited to write down their suggested names on a piece of paper and place them into the entry box in the Fishy Fings gift shop at the end of the attraction.

Please note we are only looking for fun and quirkey names, so get your imaginations flowing.

The two blue-spotted stingrays share a birthday with Princess Charlotte of the House of Windsor and were named after the baby princess and her brother George, so the hunt is now on to find the perfect names for the three baby sharks.

Our beautiful new babies can be seen daily in Zone 1 and 4 of the aquarium.

T&C's:  The shark naming competion will run for four weeks and will end on the 26th of August.  All names entered will will be reviewd by our animal team and announced on Tuesday the 28th of August.
