Access and Facilities

Disabled Access

At the Aquarium, we have disabled access throughout the centre. There are also disabled toilets available within the centre.

Unfortunately for certain areas, such as on top of the viewing tank for activities such as our VIP Feeding experiences, there is no wheelchair access due to the stairwell to the area.

Free Carer Policy

  • There is no disabled rate but if a member of your party is registered disabled you will be entitled to admit one free carer with them. Please ensure that you bring documentation with you on the day such as your blue badge, DLA Letter or note from a doctor or specialist. Please book the carers ticket along with your other tickets.

Hidden Disabilities Lanyard

If you have a hidden condition such as Autism, you can request one of our green lanyards from our admissions team. If you use one of these, we will know that you may require a little extra assistance during your visit to the attraction. These lanyards are free to use, simply ask a member of the team.

What you can expect when using a green lanyard:

  • We will provide extra information about our animals and areas of the attraction itself
  • You can tell us if there is anything we can do to assist you
  • We may ask if there is anything we can do to assist you

We hope this means that you will find your experience at SEA LIFE Manchester more enjoyable.

Guide Dogs are permitted in the centre. If you have an animal that you wish to donate, please contact, and our Curator will consider your donation. Please note that we will not be able to take every animal and please do not put your animals at risk by arriving at the attraction with them.

All visitors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

As the aquarium is indoors your visit will not be affected by the weather. However, please be aware that in peak season the queue may extend as far as the outside, where we can not guarantee the weather!
